In addition, Capital Settlements’ Andrew Miller is the nephew of Ronald James and cousin of Donald James another NZ citizen.
This relationship provides for a complete and transparent basis for conducting business while meeting the most stringent requirements for sourcing and underwriting Life Settlements for assured investment returns.

James Group International
James Group International LLC(JGI), a Nevada Corporation, was formed for the sole purpose of creating and delivering US based Life Settlement products to International Investors. JGI has two Managing Members, Ronald L. James and Donald James.
Ronald James and James Group International supply policies exclusively to Capital Settlements in the New Zealand market.
The President of JGI, Ronald L. James, is a 38 year veteran of the Life Insurance Industry and a 12 year veteran of the life settlement industry. Ronald established James Settlement Services in 1995 as part of the development of the life settlement industry and was one of the primary life settlement businesses in the United States. Ron has developed numerous innovative insurance products during his tenure in the industry and has pioneered several applications for the use of Life Settlements in Real Estate, Venture Capital risk hedging, Dynamic Portfolio Pools and the pursuit and development of a Mortality Risk Bond in the Asian and Australian markets. Ronald is the primary underwriter of all of JGI’s Life Settlement acquisitions. Ronald James through JGI and JSS has closed more than $800 Million face amount since 1995.
During the last quarter of 2007, the James group of companies is closing several portfolios of Life Settlements with a total Face Amount in excess of $200 million. Member, Donald James, MBA., is a ten year veteran of GE Capital where he was a Six Sigma Champion in General Electric’s strive to reengineer their processes using statistical and financial initiatives. In addition to this consulting role, Don managed several GECC operations to record profits. Don has been involved in Life Settlements via James Settlement Services since the asset class was conceived in 1995. We at James Group create market participants by providing education, guidance and insights to assist investors and fund managers to attain their investment goals by structuring appropriate models and scenarios. Don performs the analysis and policy structuring to meet the underwriting requirements for acquisition. According to Don “Through the use of state of the art modeling software, JGI is able to compress the time needed to underwrite and make offers for purchase, giving us and our clients an advantage in time and cost over other entities in the market place.”
Don has a BBA in Business Administration from the University of San Diego and an MBA from St Mary’s College of CA.
